Community Safety

Community risk reduction can best be defined as measures taken by a community to reduce the impact of risk. Seems simple enough. We do this by focused campaigns on educating the public, and enforcing fire codes and focusing engineering on fire safe homes and businesses.

In recent years, the role of emergency services has extended beyond just fire risk to a more comprehensive all-hazard approach. Here at PFR we offer a very unique combination of highly skilled personnel, a dynamic working environment, and a large volume of service need.

The hope is with by inserting ourselves more into the community risk reduction model that we will improve the quality and safety of the people that we serve. CRR is an "all hands" principle in education, engineering and enforcement of life safety programs.

Our Community Risk Reduction Template is available for download.
