Vehicle Fire on Route 101

March 14, 2022 Crews responded to a single vehicle fire on Wilton Road (NH Route 101) which resulted in a closure of the roadway for approximately one hour. Crews quickly arrived on scene and had the fire under control. Engine 2, Tanker 1, and Ladder 1 were the responding apparatus along with Chief Walker.

The mission of the Peterborough Fire & Rescue is to protect the lives and property of the people of Peterborough and Sharon from fires, natural and man-made disasters, and hazardous materials incidents; to save lives by providing emergency medical services; to prevent fires through prevention and education programs; to provide defense against terrorist attacks; and to provide a work environment that values cultural diversity and is free of harassment and discrimination.

Peterborough Fire & Rescue currently has over 60 members in the department and is actively recruiting.

Peterborough Fire & Rescue responds to an average of 2,600 calls for help per year.
